Physically, this looks a whole lot like the unit I have. Mine is branded as an "Overhead Garage Door Opener"... but they're the same mother company.
Something similar happened to mine... but I cannot for the life of me remember if it was 6 blinks or just an eternal number of blinks. Unplugging reset it for me. Or... it did the first few times this happened. Eventually, this stopped working. I went through everything... made sure the eyes were aligned, etc.
I have a 2 car garage with 2 single doors and separate door openers. In desperation, I tried swapping the motherboards. The problem followed the motherboard. Through more googling I finally decided that the motherboard was bad and replaced it. It's worked ever since. (Whether that was the actual problem or I just hid the problem by replacing the board... we will never know.)
The power in my rural area sucks. I get tons of little spikes and drop outs every day. I have a whole house surge protector... but that isn't 100% coverage. I have started adding outlet surge protectors on pretty much every 120v appliance I have that contains computerized electronics. Based on other issues, I am guessing my problem was dirty power zapping the mobo.
The board I bought was a Genie board. I found it on ebay new in box at about 1/2 of what the local Overhead Door distributor was selling them for.
