Window screen repair
« on: June 10, 2015, 05:34:47 PM »
When I took my window screen out today for exterior window cleaning, I noticed it had some holes.  I don't think i need to replace the entire screen, just patch it.  My google search indicates that you can buy repair kits at hardware stores.  Is buying a repair kit like this the best way to go or is there a more efficient way I could fix this? This is my first home repair, thanks for any help :)

Not nearly enough info given to merit a pertinent response.
What material is the screen?
How big are the holes and how close to the edge and each other?
Are looks important to you?

I would replace the screen.  Real easy and cheap to do. I made screens, including the frames, for our place.

I've fixed that kind of screen probably a dozen times (small children are not kind to screens).  It's super easy, and once you've done it a couple times, you can whip it out in less than five minutes.
