Reusable fabric vacuum bags
« on: July 08, 2013, 02:54:45 PM »
Hello! I have an Oreck canister vacuum and two very sheddy dogs, so I am replacing the vacuum bags all the time.  I've tried reusing the paper ones but they tend to rip after a few uses.  I've found some online tutorials for making one out of fabric and cardboard, but wanted to know if anyone on the forum has done this, and if yes, if they have any tips re:what types of fabric will work best?
Thanks!

Vilx-

I haven't done this, but my Kärcher WD 3.500 P can be used both with and without a bag. Maybe you too can get a vacuum that doesn't need bags at all?

Here's a perspective from a vacuum cleaner repair place. There are some paragraphs at the bottom about reusing bags or cannisters. The author clearly doesn't like the idea.

Have you found a cheap supplier for your vacuum bags?
