Patio Installation - Anyone use Brock Paver Base?
« on: June 06, 2012, 12:18:38 PM »
looking at installing a patio.  Anyone use the Brock paver base?  Thoughts?  I live in MI where it definitely gets cold and snowy in the winter.

It looks like a decent product.  We used gravel/sand and a tamper to make the base, and it's worked well for us.

Yea I'm trying to save time and money...mostly time.  If I don't have to dig and haul an extra 4" of hard/heavy clay soil and then buy/haul/lay the paver base it will make me happy.  My concern is that it won't hold up over time and that the cold MI winters might cause significant heaving.
