mozar kitchen update
« on: September 23, 2019, 10:11:22 PM »
Thanks for all the advice I got. I literally was getting help every step of the way. It took me 6 weeks and twice my original budget. I ended up spending 4k so that's ok. Except for the painting it was stuff I hadn't done before so I am proud of myself. I did everything except the electrical and plumbing.
I chose lvp for the floor and verdict is I don't like it. I feel like I'm walking on plastic. I wouldn't choose it again. I didn't want to buy a new faucet but I did. I love my faucet, it works really well. I'm still getting used to my new deeper sink, water keeps splashing everywhere. I was going to do an undermount sink but I screwed up my butcher block with my jigsaw so I covered it with an overmount. I didn't want to buy a new sink so I used the undermount as an overmount. I like it.
I am still working on it but it is functionally complete.

Great job! Huge improvement especially on that flooring. Was that vinyl laminate or tile that you removed and replaced with the wood flooring?

We also painted our cabinets white - it makes such a huge difference

Vinyl. If somebody out there reading this is considering getting sticky vinyl, don't do it!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
