I've repaired the 13yr old dishwasher 3 times in the last year, about $120 into parts + several hours of labor.
My usual rule is '3 strikes you're out' - which it just hit. The idea being that once stuff starts to go, it's a downward slide and it ends up costing more in time & maintenance than a new one. But this is a really nice unit, stainless and quiet and very effective (when it runs). So I've been holding off.
Any of you have a rule of thumb for when it's time to replace instead of keep fixing?
