Been having to reset modem every couple days and finally stopped working completely the other day. Traced it to splitter problem on cable line. After doing some investigation found that I had a splitter on outside line and a second one inside causing loss of signal which didn't bother tv cable but did cause internet issues. Replaced outside splitter with better quality splitter and problem seems resolved. Had issues off and on for years with this. Dn't know if this is common problem but was surprised to find cable co not very familiar with the issue.
