I've been planning an installation of an egress window in my basement. Currently I have concrete block with those small 30 inch basement windows. I've read and understood all the code requirements for window and well size, however...
My question is regarding best practice for water intrusion mitigation. My basement is dry with no sump pump. The grade outside the foundation is sloped away; I have gutters and 2-foot overhangs. Without an existing drain tile system to connect into, what should I do in the window well? Just fill it with gravel and slope away from the house?
