Kitchen Cabinets with a QR code inside
« on: October 12, 2019, 06:07:40 PM »
I'm looking to match some kitchen cabinets to change an over-the-range hood to an over-the-range microwave (no project is simple -- now I need filler cabinets above the microwave).

From what I can tell, there are no labels on them anywhere except a single burned wood code ("SCS349f3W" -- which shows up no where on Google) and what looks to me to be a QR code.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Having just installed an entire kitchen worth of cabinets, the identification stickers on mine were either on the back that gets put up against the wall or the top that gets covered up by the countertop. The code you are seeing is probably an internal processing code and not one you would be able to search for to figure out the manufacturer.

We rebuilt a shed earlier this year and the new lumber was stamped with a QR code. We didn't try to scan it, we figured it was for internal processing, as lthenderson suggested.

Looks like a code printed on the original lumber. That's a pretty easy door pattern, lots of places should be able to make you something to match....
