Title: Kindle Holder Made from Bicycle Tube
Post by: Unionville on January 22, 2014, 08:26:42 PM
This has changed my reading habits, being able to lay down and hold a kindle easily in one hand.  I made if from an old bike inner tube.

I also wanted something that would allow me to hold my Nook with one hand without a death grip.  This was especially needed for crowded train commutes when I needed one hand to hold a rail.

So I used what was at home--no slip grip flat hair bands.  Place one top, one on bottom and looped three together to make a vertical bar.  All this looks an "I".  Take that "I", loop the top and bottom of it to the top and bottom of the e-reader.  I usually use the vertical bar to hold the reader but can change it up by also slipping my hands through the bottom of the "I".

I would post photos but the images are enormous. How do they make them small?  In any case, use the links for photos.

I bought the hair bands from CVS so they're pretty easy to find.
