I did it myself!

Some pretty simple stuff...but I did it!  And all this weekend, too!

Friday evening...
We have a fence with a gate that leads to the backyard.  One half of the gate is on a single post against the side of the garage...and we have a downspout there.  Unfortunately, we weren't thinking and we didn't extend the downspout  and that one post started to sink...which meant that the two halves of the gate did not line up and the one half couldn't even be opened.  So...I fixed it!  I dug a trench and extended the downspout under our walkway (used flat rock found on property so it was easy to take up and put back down) and hopefully have stopped the fence post from it's continued downward journey.  Then I removed the gate from the post and reset it on the post so that it matches with the other side.  I didn't measure right...and it doesn't match perfectly (about a quater inch off), but I'm okay with that.  I can now open and use both sides of the gate!

Then on Saturday, I fixed our dishwasher. Our dishwasher started leaking just a little bit of water on Easter Sunday.  I washed dishes by hand until I could pull it out and look.  Easy peasy fix as all I needed to do was tighten a connection between two tubes.  (have no idea what they are really called...but it worked...)

On Sunday, I also assembled my Mother's Day gift...DH bought me a chiminea which is great because we need to get rid of some of the branches our trees seem to regularly provide.  I can't wait to use it...but it's been raining since the moment I got it put together.  :(
