What to do with my Domain Names
« on: December 15, 2014, 11:32:05 AM »
I am trying to decide what to do with some domains I have owned for a while. The options I know of/am considering are: auctioning them off, developing them into an income source (blog, ad parking space, etc), having someone else develop them into a traffic generating source and selling or monetizing. Does anyone have experience with Web development and/or traffic generation that can help me organize my thoughts on this. There are lots of suggestions/ideas online of course, but I don't personally know anyone that can help me with this right now.
The domains are: 3dprinterbasics.com wineknowledgehq.com earlymortgagerepayment.com
Thank you!

You have multiple options

  • Sell the domain names.:They are decent, but not great names and you may get $50 to $100 for them. Try listing on flippa.com and see what you can get.
  • The wine and the mortgage sites could be made into niche sites. It would need a substantial time/effort to do so.  Do you have the knowledge in these domains that you can create substantial, informative content for them?  You also need good writing skills to do so. If you want to take this path, I would suggest reading NichePursuits.com, smartpassiveincome.com  etc.
  • Whatever you do, do not buy one of those cheap sites on flippa. Those are usually copied data, which is a red flag for google and hence no traffic from google. It can have spoofing code built in.(I had this issue with one I bought).

Hope this helps.
