I put these bad boys up this weekend by myself. My backyard was pitch black at night and now when I walk out there, these guys light up the world. Should be good for hanging out on the backyard patio during the the nights.

What are they specifically?
And how are you going to deal with the bugs they attract?

More specifically they are outdoor flood lights (found at Lowes
http://www.lowes.com/pd_182155-85538-SH-5105-WH__?productId=3018462&pl=1
). I read/heard that bugs are less attracted to LED lights (something to do with a different light spectrum and being a lot colder). So far I haven't noticed an increase in bugs but an increase in visibility while being outside at night.

Oh man, I call that light pollution. The glare (extensive in the pictures) makes it hard to see anytime you're facing the lights. I hope you don't have close neighbors!
Nice job installing them yourself though. It's easy once you get into it.
