eComfort or acwholesalers or nah?
« on: September 10, 2019, 09:46:31 AM »
Has anyone ever actually purchased equipment from these places?

I am preparing to add a dual zone mini split ductless system to my basement, and was leaning towards purchasing equipment from one of these places and having it independently installed, but the reviews online are TERRIBLE. Any experiences, good or bad?

What do the reviews say? Are they things you can live with?

They seem to teeter on the edge of being a scam.

Receiving damaged equipment, no contact from customer service after the sale, extremely late shipping, unresponsive...the list goes on.

These are the kinds of reviews, and the quantity of reviews, that make me thing it may be too good to be true.

I bought my furnace from AC wholesalers and had it installed by a company. Wayyyy cheaper, however you may call a couple places ahead of time as some installers wont install equipment they dont sell you directly.

That being said, the furnace came within a week from a freight delivery company, they called ahead of time to set up a time for the delivery guy to unload it, worked great, wasn't damaged or anything.

EDIT: It also came with a 10-year warranty although I can't speak to how much of a pain it may be to actually exercise the warranty, or if it had come damaged...
