I have to hold the lever down or the bread will just pop right back up. Anyone know how to fix this?

Many toasters don't stay down if the power is off.

The power is on. It's plugged into a GFCI outlet in the kitchen, and the little light is on to indicate it's working properly. The toaster works if I hold the lever down.
