Cell Provider switch - from Tmobile to Airvoice in Minneapolis?
« on: November 14, 2018, 05:38:07 AM »
Over the years I've slowly let our once frugal cell phone plans drift back into a face punchable offense. Thinking of moving to Airvoice for their $20 a month plan ($18 on autopay) for unlimited talk/text and a small amount of data. Using a Moto G4. Any reason not to do this? Hoping to act swiftly!

Thanks,

I loved airvoice, only left them because imessaging and group texts with non-iphones was a hassle.  If I had a non-iphone or was willing to get a non-iphone, I would have stayed with them.

I was on Airvoice for a couple of years, but the group texts to non-iPhones became problematic (Airvoice uses ATT towers).  I switched to Red Pocket CDMA (Verizon towers) and that works.  I stick with their $10 plan, but they do have a $19 plan with unlimited/unlimited/1GB (which seems like a lot of data to me).

Red Pocket also offers T-Mo and Sprint at the same prices; it just depends on what you want.

Their ebay store offers yearly plans at a discount, but I haven't pulled the trigger on a whole year at once.
