Single Parent Savings!

I've tracked my spending for the last 6 months and have averaged things out. Single, one teenage kid. Would love feedback!

Monthly income after taxes: 3,684

Monthly savings: 1,000

Monthly spending: 2,684
Rent 883 (includes heat, water, electricity)
Internet 35
Netflix 10
Cell phones 71 (one for me, one for kid)
Laundry 30
Groceries 267
Eating out 280 (includes eating out while traveling)
Dentist 11
Medication 22
Clothing 102 (for me and kid, includes outerwear)
Household 206 (includes things like mattress, frying pan, paint, house plants, router, tennis balls etc)
Toiletries 10
Haircuts 15
Local bus/taxi 94
Gifts 28
Donations 25
Allowance for kid 40
Kid's field trips 50
Entertainment 11
Student loan 60
Travel 434 (1-2 out of province trips a year and several out of town trips)

You mention out of province - does that mean Canada?
