Your residency in the UK contributes to your 20 years... but they may adjust the relative countries payouts to ensure that you don't get double dipping for the same years.... so it means that you can get your partial OAS payout for your 11 years, if you are in the UK for 10.

Oh, hmm. Well, I'm planning on living in the UK from now on, so I would assume it is a one way street - that, living for 10 years in the middle and then returning to the UK, I wouldn't be able to send years over to Canada. And I also assume I'd lose those 'to the UK' - and I'd rather have the UK State Pension than OAS.

I guess I'll, at some point, need to pay to talk to someone and work it all out.

You might get the cdn OAS and the UK pension...!  The Cdn OAS is just under $7k a year, at max, so not a huge amount,as 25% of that is just a few thousand.
