85? With only two per room? Are we using additional buildings this time, or do the extra bedrooms take care of that?

I reserved more cabins to allow more space and more shower time. So yeah, there will only be 6 people per side of a cabin, and 2 per room. It's nearly Club Med.

Amaaaaazing!

Thanks guys! We have just over 50 spots paid for out of 85. The waitlist should take care of most of the rest.

I.e. if you aren't on the wait list, get on it soon :)

Love this improvement over last year!  Of course last year I didn't even see AxeCleaver in the room...I don't think that man sleeps.

Bonus Points are applied to your Volleyhockey ball score following the formula of: y=23((n)th root(surface temperature of Lake Tanganyika/N^(78.6/pi))/current age of the Mongolian Secretary of State)

Where n is your bonus points and y is the points added to your volleyhockey ball score.

The surface of the lake is 773 meters (2,536 feet) above sea level. It has an average surface temperature of 25°C (77°F). Lake Tanganyika has a retention time (the measurement of time that water spends in a particular lake) of 440 years.

"Average" is not part of the formula. (I did find the current air temperature, but not water temperature. I think I'm safe)

Are temp & age measurements taken at the time of earning the bonus points or at the time of the game?

Yes, I plan to make a spreadsheet.

N=whatever the hell I want, since Prospctor did not specify.  I am sure we can make Y=42.

cubed roots do that.

I think there is some confusion between N and n. That was unintentional.

OK, I will admit it. (Some people say) I am a snorer. Considering that I have just admitted this on the snoring thread recently started, I thought I'd mention it here. I am also a deep sleeper so don't mind rooming with a fellow snorer.

I thought I had mentioned it for the first CMC, but I was still grouped with people in the room that were unaware that I was a snorer. I don't want anyone to lose sleep at camp because of this. If anyone will lose sleep at camp, I hope it's because they spent all night singing karaoke and not because of my snoring.

I hope this doesn't ostracize me and disallow me from rooming with anyone. Who wants to room with me?!?!? (great sales pitch)

Yay!

As I mentioned in that other snoring thread, no one seems to blame the light sleepers for their end of the equation, but I'd rather not get into the philosophical arguments of light sleepers vs deep sleepers in this thread.

Eh, I included earplugs as standard issue equipment when I went to CMC- both for the DJing and for the sleeping. I assumed there was going to be a baseline level of partying, and that the level would be high xD

I know not everyone is comfortable with earplugs, but just saying- they can really work wonders and are super cheap- and it's realistically only for a night or two.

I also bring eye shades when sharing a room with others. That way, they can turn on the lights if they go to sleep later than me or get up earlier. I don't care because my eyes are covered!

You get 5 bonus points if you don't complain about the snorer in your room. Problem solved. Bonus points = hush money.

Hey, I'm coming to CM*TO and bringing my spouse along!!!

So, hi everyone!

I wanted to come last year but I had a scheduling conflict. Then this year, it didn't look like I had a spot but then I got an email that my payment was due... so I guess I got a spot! (Two spots, even.)

Will be doing more lurking in the journals section to see what I can learn about other attendees in advance... and trying to post more in my own journal thread (https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/journals/little-sparks-towards-a-slow-burn/).

I am happy to announce our second breakout speaker for CM*TO.

jordanread is going to lead a breakout session on overcoming the vices that limit us on our path towards success and finding the motivation to keep going. Jordan has been transparent on the journals about his life's ups and downs. I know that everyone will have something to learn about the ways that their own vices are restraining them, tactics for addressing them, and the clarity that can come with facing them head on.

If you want to learn more about Jordan ahead of time, Jordan's journal is

CM*TO Bunk Update

We have had a tremendous response from the waitlist and camp is now about 90% sold out!  We have an exciting mix of new and returning campers, and I can't wait to see the karaoke performances this year (@avrex - Backstreet Boys duet?)

There are only a few bunks available at this point, so if you'd like to come to camp but haven't gotten a bunk yet please contact cmto.guestmanagement@gmail.com for details on how to secure a spot.

I can't wait to see the karaoke performances this year (@avrex - Backstreet Boys duet?)

Duet?   Perhaps.  As that might be the only option for someone of my limited talents.  But still....

[avrex looks through his playlist for an alternative artist/song]    ;)

Hi, I just joined off the wait list. I don't know what to expect, so I jumped on this:
Sriracha, falafel, or formal wear.

YES to all three!

Can't believe that one of you has a Sriracha dress! Makes me think I'm going to fit right in. I love it.
I'm an omnivore who likes having veggie options, I would rather have spicy food than bland, and I have a weakness for evening gowns. But none of them advertise a hot sauce. Time to buy another one.

@MonkeyJenga

Your taste in evening wear has been supported.

So let me get this straight...I need to pack some formal wear for the meatball party?  Is a tiara too much?

I suspect a tiara is sufficient

It might be chilly with just a tiara.

I think too little is probably more accurate.

A tiara, jeans & t-shirt, then.

Sounds fancy.

How about top hats for men? Monocle is obviously overkill, but would fit-in probably quite well with the crowd.
