401k swapped out fund...can't figure out what the new fund is?
« on: October 28, 2014, 08:41:29 PM »
Hello all...

I had my 401k 100% invested in a S&P500 index fund...the symbol was HBIDX...Hartford Index HLS IB.

About a week ago I received notice that the fund was being exchanged for a new fund...Himco VIT Index IB, symbol HVIIX.   I can find no information about this fund whatsoever anywhere.  I use personal capital to track my investments and it has no clue what this is either.

Any ideas?  Only thing I've been able to find out is that "VIT" stands for "variable insurance trust" which worries me.

Fellow mustachians...help?
