I thought I was being Mustachian by ordering a cheap bluetooth speaker off ebay from China, but apparently my gamble didn't work out. My speaker worked fine for a few weeks and now whenever I turn it on, it works for a few seconds and then the sound just dies. I have no idea why.

I am not tech-y person and this was my first try at using a bluetooth speaker. Where could I get a cheap but decent one?

What I have done:
- Ordered a REAL bluetooth adaptor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Am9psYGt2E - $30 here in Australia
- Got a nice 5.1 old system on ebay or similar just for the amplifier- Here paid $50 for it
- Ordered a nice old pair of Sony speakers - paid $30

Voila! Plug your new speakers and blue tooth to the amplifier. Done!
Got a nicer clearer sound than these modern shitty boom boom boxes for 5 times less the retail price!
Can listen from mobile, PC, etc...
Also decorates your living room once you find a way to hide the amp. Speakers serve a way to put your plants, etc etc...

What's the power supply?

It runs on a battery and can be charged from a laptop with a USB cord. It's just one of those little round guys and I only paid $10 or less for it.

I just wanted something small I could carry from room to room and would make it so I can hear sound from my laptop over the roar of my air conditioner.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
