My understanding is that Ramit's course is not strictly about employment per se, it might very well help you quick-start your self-employment or other business venture.
He seems to have several courses, and they are all secret unless you sign up for the right emails or have the right timing. That's kind of annoying.
The skills in the dream job course could certainly be applicable to more than just finding a job, but that's what it's targeted for. Zero to Launch is his course for starting a passive online business. I don't know how, but I somehow got on the emails for that one. Maybe they come after the dream job emails.
I decided not to do it for two reasons. First, I need to step up my game, get some results, and front load some work if I'm going to find a dream job. I could do everything he says, but I still wouldn't have a very strong resume. I'll work on that slowly. Second, I realized I'm mostly happy where I am. Switching jobs would probably mean compromising some other aspect of my life, and I'd rather not do that right now.
