Where to invest after Roth and 401K?

My husband I have maxed out our Roth IRAs and his 401k. I have a pension for work, but no 401k access. If we want to make additional investments, where should we put the money? We are currently in our mid-thirties and would like to retire around 50. Thanks for any advice!
