Dumb question here, from someone who hasn't lived in a cold climate since childhood but recently moved to one...
At what point do you worry about your pipes freezing? Our indoor temperature, with the heat off, is still above 60, but it was 27 outside last night, and we have pipes in external walls. We haven't needed the heat on at night, and even if we did, our rooms are heated separately, so we'd just need the heat in the bedroom. But what about the pipes? How do you know when/if you need to heat the whole house to avoid plumbing disasters?
