Title: What should I do?
Post by: alm0stk00l on June 23, 2014, 11:15:32 AM
I biked to work today. I live about 1.5 miles from work, so my plan was to bike home to have lunch. While I have been biking to work for a while, I am just starting to try to quit going out to lunch every day at work. Now it is starting to rain. We have a cafeteria that we can eat lunch at. Should I still bike home and if I get rained on so be it? Or should I just spend a little to eat at the cafeteria? What would you do?

I'd eat in the cafeteria this time, and bring my lunch from now on.  And/or put a "rain day" meal in the freezer at work for this type of thing.

I live in Houston. I wouldn't bike home in rain here, since it can become a sudden downpour and you'd be drenched. I would probably just get something really cheap at the cafeteria there, and maybe pack your lunch so you have it with you in the future? I have a small personal cooler and an ice brick so I can just throw it in my desk if I have anything that needs refrigerating...
