Are you referring to home owners insurance deductible?
I have a high deductible  (can't remember the number, ~10000.00 I think) and would push it higher if I could save enough on premiums to justify.

I have a mortgage and have the max allowable ($10k). If I didn't have the mortgage I would go at least $25k based on the premium differential. I didn't ask about a higher limit to see what it cost.

Just switched policies, and went w/the highest deductible, which is roughly $10K.

I've heard of some people forgoing HOI on paid off homes due to tax loss harvesting. While there are deduction limits per year, if you are over one year you can carry forward each year until fully harvested. Or so they say, I have not researched this myself yet.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
