NINE!!!  Oh my, so many more than I would have thought.  I would have guessed one until I started reading the lists.
Electric Kettle - use it every day.
Fancy Coffee maker - my sister gave it to me to keep for her visits.  I don't drink it.
Toaster - I've never used it, but I keep it for guests
Hand Mixer - haven't used in over 10 years
Air Popper - I've used it a few times
Crockpot - I'm learning to love it.  I hope to use it at least once a week going forward
Blender - haven't used it since I got my immersion blender
Immersion blender - I make frozen fruit smoothies occassionally
Digital scale --why??
I think that's it
Edit: Forgot to add:  George foreman grill.

So, I've got a:

Kettle
Toaster (barely used as I don't buy much sliced bread)
Microwave
Coffee grinder (burr)
Fridge
Dishwasher (came with apartment)
Sandwich press (not used much)
Electric beaters (barely used)
Scale (not used much)
Blender (not used much)

Digital scale --why??

If you have to ask, you're not using it enough!  The scale and the candy thermometer are amongst my favorite kitchen items.  I think it's the height of mustachianism to prepare as much from scratch as you can, and it's impossible to bake truly well, especially bakery-quality breads, pastries, and other treats, without cooking by weight rather than volume.

I'm *almost* embarassed to admit my appliance list... except I know I use every single thing regularly.

* Fridge
* Oven
* Stove
* Microwave
* Toaster
* Dishwasher
* Electric Knife
* Waffle Maker
* Crock Pot
* Blender
* Shake Blender
* Food Processor
* Raclette Appareil (x2)
* Pizza Oven
* Kitchen Scale (of course!)
* Coffee Maker
* KitchenAid Mixer
* Candy and digital thermometers (this is stretching it to call them appliances, added them since others did)

- Fridge/freezer
- Gas oven
- Microwave
- Electric kettle
- Slow cooker
- Stick blender
- Regular type of blender.
- Kitchen scale (I agree- cooking by weight does wonders for recipe reliability)
- Digital thermometer (useful for yoghurt making, jams, making soap)
- Electric water bath unit (Fowlers)- I think what the Americans will call a 'water bath canner'??

I'm in the middle of down-scaling and am trying to keep a simple but working kitchen. Electric conical burr grinder died this year and was replaced with a hand-powered one. Toaster died this year and wasn't replaced- I do'nt really use toast. Will probably not bother replacing microwave if it dies. Will probably replace electric kettle with a heavy copper-based one for the gas stove when my work asks for it back.

One thing I am in the market for is a second-hand Kenwood chef.

I was just asked if I wanted a bread maker. Nope. I have large bowls, an oven and pans that can do bread just as well without being a unitasker and taking up valuable counterspace.

+1. Ditto for rice cookers, toasters, etc. I make almost everything from scratch, but to me that doesn't mean I need an appliance per item. I make rice in a pot, and it's perfect! On the rare occasion I have toast, I use the oven for a minute. I have a travel cup that also functions as a coffee bodum. My mum takes this kitchen-minimalism one step further than me: She heats her water in a pot vs electric kettle. I do love me my fast kettle, though!

Did a serious downsize to keep only what I use. I cook all my food from scratch.

- Vitamix (use daily, love it)
- Small food processor (bean dips, salad dressings)
- Electric kettle
- 1 Le Cruset pot w/lid (make rice, beans, soups, etc.)
- 1 cast iron skillet (all saute, stirfry, frittata, etc. needs)
- 1 cookie sheet (roast veggies, granola bars, etc.)
- 2 mixing bowls (one big, one small)
- 2 good knives (one big, one small)
- 1 cutting board
- 1 each regular spatula, silicone spatula, vegetable peeler and a wood spoon

Since I live alone most of these appliances are used sometimes.

1. Microwave
2. Mr. Coffee 4 Cup
3. Coffee Grinder
4. George Foreman Grill
5. Crock Pot
6. Rice Cooker
7. Toaster
8.  Bread Machine
9. Toaster Oven
10. Blender
11. Hand Held Mixer

The first 8 are used fairly often.  The last 3 rarely.

I use my Microwave for heating leftovers and cooking vegs. oh and popcorn
Mr. Coffee is used daily as is the coffee grinder
George Foreman Grill used approx. weekly
Crockpot used often in the winter for soups and stews.  I am going to try Baked Beans tomorrow.
Rice Cooker used to be used often but I'm cutting down of Carbs
Bread Machine is a new addition and I have mixed feelings.  I really don't care for the bread as it is too dense for my taste but is good as toast.  OTOH, I have found that it is a quick easy way to make Cranberry, walnut, orange bread and other "Quick Breads".  I made several of the Cranberry breads to give as Xmas gifts this year.  My machine bakes mini-loaves and I only paid $25. on Craig's list.
Still, I wouldn't buy it again.  Takes up too much room.  It is stored in the garage when not in use.

My *only* appliance is a microwave (which is my housemate's).

Actually, I just remembered my housemate has a toaster too, which I use once in a blue moon.
To those who use s microwave daily, what are you using it for? Leftovers?
I heat leftovers, melt stuff, heat water, defrost stuff like bread and veggies.

What I don't have would probably be a shorter list:

Dishwasher
Blender (Blendtec)
Toaster Oven
Coffee Grinder
Electric Kettle
Crock Pot
Rice Cooker
Food Saver
Stand mixer
Hand mixer
Hand blender
Espresso machine (trying to sell)
Electric wok
Food processor

At least I've recently gotten rid of the juicer, ice cream maker and deep fryer.

Kettle, toaster and a hand blender. All used regularly. We used to have a raclette set when we lived in Belgium, random but we used it regularly. Well until I had a burst ovarian cyst which can Apparently be caused by too much cheese. So then it was just once a week :)

I suppose that's one thing-- although I could happily live at home without a microwave, I use it heaps at work because all my lunches are leftovers...

Powered appliances -

Stove
Under-counter fridge (with small freezer compartment)
Microwave
Kettle

Everything else is done by hand, but there's only one of me so it's not difficult or time consuming, just the way I was brought up (the microwave still feels like a bit a cheat).  I've got a kitchen remodel coming up (bit of structural stuff to make the space more convenient and some new built-in cupboards) and I'm wondering whether to get a small dishwasher, partly because otherwise there is nearly always a bit of washing up waiting to be done on the counter.  My desire for a means of instant tidiness is at war with my inherent mustachianism.  The obvious answer of getting the washing up done by hand as soon as it is created doesn't really appeal, but I'm working on adjusting my psyche in that direction.

I only have an electric kettle and a microwave if we are limiting to electrically powered small appliances. I used to have a toaster as well in my previous apartment, but it was used so rarely (prefer fresh bread over toasted) that I gave it away when I moved.

The big advantage we enjoy with our rice cooker is that we set up oat groats the night before and have oatmeal ready when we wake up in the morning. We both enjoy the taste of oat groats more than oatmeal but it would take an hour we don't have in the morning without a rice cooker.

FWIW, Minimalist Me and Gadget Girl Me are in a constant battle for supremacy. My husband mediates the battle by demanding an ROI from Gadget Girl Me every time I want a new gadget.  I have become amazingly good at preparing ROI statements.

Refrigerator/ freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher plus:
Under cabinet freezer in laundry room. Use all the time for bulk purchases.
Toaster. Use all the time.
Two blenders, regular plus stick ( use stick 99% of the time).
Two food processors, Cusiniart plus $20 Black and Decker (use Black and Decker 99% of the time).
Two mixers, KitchenAid plus Cuisinart hand held. Use KitchenAid mostly with meat grinder attachment.  Use hand held all the time.
Hmm. This is a useful exercise!
George Foreman grill. Use this constantly.
Juicer from thrift shop. Live in Florida, use this a lot.
Fondue pot. Use approx. quarterly.
Raclette maker. Use twice a year.
Crock pot. Don't use.
Meat slicer. Use after big dinners to slice up the roasts.
Ice cream maker. Never use, though DH swears he will use it.
Slushy maker. Never use, though DH swears he will use it.
SodaStream. DH uses regularly.
Keurig. DH uses often.
Coffe grinder. DH uses frequently.
Coffee maker. Use very infrequently.
Sandwich press. Use very infrequently.
Electric water kettle. Use all the time.
Many of these small appliances are 20 years old or more. Given this exercise, I may not replace most of them when they go. If I were setting up a new kitchen today, from scratch, I would have the following:
Refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher - but would eliminate the dishwasher and perhaps the microwave in a small apartment. Then I would have:
Undercounter freezer. Worth its weight in gold for advance meal prep.
Stick blender
Hand held mixer
George Foreman grill
Toaster
Small food processor.

Trying to think of things that are really appliances and not just shit in the kitchen (if I'm putting knives and cutting boards on here this will take all day) -
fridge
deep freezer
toaster
toaster oven
microwave
electric range / oven
dishwasher
stand mixer
ice cream maker attachment to stand mixer
meat grinder attachment to stand mixer
manual pasta maker
stick blender
food processor
Vitamix
3 crock pots (very tiny, medium and big)
fondue pot
immersion circulator (ANOVA one)
3 scales
fancy coffee grinder
meat slicer
dehydrator
rice cooker
2 thermometers (1 candy, 1 meat)
searzall (recent purchase... not as thrilled as I thought I would be)
mandolin slicer
cheese grater
electric citrus juicer

We did sell our espresso machine in the last week in favor of using a moka pot (purchased for $1,000 3 years ago, sold for $900. Not sad about that), and sold our monster juicer a year ago, so we are making progress towards less clutter. I think the only things that don't see a lot of use are the dehydrator (which was a wedding gift) and the meat slicer (purchased for $5 at a yard sale). Those tend to be one big week of use a year or something like that. I would like a vacuum sealer as well. I can reasonably justify most of this stuff and could not imagine downsizing the kitchen, but cooking is a hobby point for the both of us as well.

Hm.

Microwave
Stand mixer
Food processor
Blender
Toaster
Kettle
Coffee grinder
Slow cooker
Immersion blender
Electric knife
Chafing dish (I NEVER use this. Anyone want one?)

and, as of yesterday,

Waffle iron

I think that might be it. Not as bad as I thought. I'm only including power tools (so to speak).

I wouldn't say my kitchen is massive, but it's good-sized.  It's horseshoe-shaped, with another little counter space where the heel of the shoe would be.  That's where the microwave, coffee grinder and toaster oven live, because it's useless as a work space.  Then the blender and electric kettle live in the corners of the horseshoe, where they're handy but out of the way.  Right now the stand mixer and espresso machine are stowed away in the dining room hutch, and the rest of it fits in one cabinet under the microwave area.  The only things that are annoying right now are the rice cooker (too big) and the food processor (doesn't do much that the blender can't do).  I might put the stand mixer back on the counter just because it's a pretty red KitchenAid.

And in the name of full disclosure, another post reminded me that I have a food dehydrator, too.  That one is bulky and lives in a cabinet in the laundry room.

Not that big! Fortunately, we have a pretty minimal food system, so we don't need all our cupboard space for food storage. I keep my toaster oven, kettle, and rice cooker out on the counter since they get used constantly. My slow cooker and blender go in a corner cupboard that I otherwise wouldn't use because it's inconvenient. My hand mixer is small and goes in the drawer under my cutlery.

My kitchen is bigger (and has more cupboard space!) than any other kitchen I've seen in a flat. I'm probably spoilt for other kitchens now, though I still covet a 900mm oven.

And I have digital scales, too.

We have a pretty large kitchen.  Although it feels cramped when I'm doing my bulk cooking.  Most of our small kitchen appliances were gifts.  We did buy a rice cooker replacement for $20 when ours broke a few years back.

Our kitchen is the biggest room in the house, I think. It sees a lot of heavy use now and will see more again when I retire, and should see ever-increasing use in the meantime as I build the garden beds up. The pantry is part of the kitchen, and the kitchen garden is a step outside the door, but yes. We knew what we used as we were designing the house and made sure we'd have the space for pantry, bulk processing of homegrown, hunted, and foraged food, and scratch cooking. It also has six sunny windows for winter herbs, all in use.

My kitchen is 165 sq ft which includes the eat-in portion (but we use it for storage and a window seat rather than a kitchen table). According to what I've read, the average American house has a kitchen of 100 - 200 square feet. A kitchen is considered small if it is below 100 sq ft and large if it is above that. So mine is pretty average. Before we remodeled, added storage, and reduced items in the kitchen, it felt cramped. Today it feels spacious. But the size of the kitchen hasn't changed.

Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, stick blender, blender/food processor combo, mini chopper (like a mini food processor used for chopping onions or other tiresome things!), electric hand whisk, Tassimo coffee machine (rarely used and ready to be donated), and I just received a rice cooker for Christmas. Oh and I have a panini sandwich grill (like a big George Foreman grill) which was a gift that I hardly ever use and is hidden at the back of the cupboard.

I'm not sure if there is anything else I would find particularly useful. I did have a slow cooker (crock pot) and a bread maker but my Dad 'borrowed' them when I went overseas and uses them so often that I feel bad asking for it back! I think he has forgotten that they were ever mine...

I own a lot because I'm old (58 ) and one tends to accumulate over time. Some things were my mother's. Many were gifts, because I like to cook and I can never think of anything else for my wish list. Then, too, DH loves gadgets. The kitchen is medium sized but very well thought out, so lots of storage.

Yeahhhh, I've been out of home only for 6 years, so not long enough to accumulate stuff I guess.

We have a large-ish kitchen.. But I use one shelf in the pantry for food/pot/pan, and half of one cupboard for plates & bowls (x3 each), and cups & mugs (x2 each). I keep the rest of the plates/bowls/cups in my bedroom storage, but I've only needed the other sets once.

I have a cooked meal at least once per day, so it's not like I don't use the kitchen.

Yes, age is a factor here, too. :-)

This Christmas, as we asked for two kitchen appliance upgrades as our gifts from our families:

1. a blender (our thrifted one had a crack in the glass base and couldn't hold liquid). My parents bought us a KitchenAid from Kohls with Kohls cash and a 30% off coupon. I think it cost them $30.
2. a toaster (our hand-me-down one had started sparking...). The BF's parents bought us this.

3. immersion blender (we make a lot of soups) from the BF's brother and sister-in-law (they do a lot of estate sales/garage sales/thrifting, which is where they found this)
4. George Foreman (hand-me-down) for grilling sandwiches and hot dogs
5. crock pot (college graduation gift) for as many meals as humanly possible.
6. coffee maker (bought new about a year and a half ago) that we can auto-set in the morning and that automatically grinds whole beans. It was worth every damn penny.

Thread made me smile because we just recently replaced two of our small appliances that we have used since we were married (15 years).

George Forman Grill-  Our favorite!  We used the heck out of our first one (the original small one that's 15 years old) and just this month upgraded to one that is larger with removable plates.  We used gift cards to purchase it, so it's like a freebie!

Crock Pot-  Again, replacing the 15 year old small one.  This will allow us to make larger batches of things to freeze for later.

Toaster

Microwave

Can opener

Keurig

Mixer

Chopper

Kettle

Our apartment kitchen is super tiny, so we don't (can't) have a whole lot of appliances, but these serve us well and are used frequently.

Roughly ordered by frequency of use:

Microwave (heating up leftovers, mostly)
Rice Cooker (standard for Asian kitchens, it seems)
Dishwasher
Bread Machine
Digital Scale
Food Processor
Immersion Blender
Coffee Grinder (for spices)
Electric Kettle
Hand Mixer

Rarely used:
Multicooker
Ice Cream Machine
Toaster

edit: forgot a couple!

Microwave
Toaster
Mr Coffee traditional drip coffee maker
Nutribullet
Can opener
I have TWO hand mixers (why? I have no idea)
I have a collection of appliances that rarely get used:  Coffee bean grinder, Three food processors (Standard, small/chopper, medium), electric frypan, rice steamer, one of the 2 hand mixers.
I'm thinking about getting rid of the rarely used items.  Not sure where they all are, at the moment.  I actually store a few of them in the garage.  (Weird, I know, but I have a small kitchen and I am a single female - so it works for me)

I'm intentionally reversing my biological age. In the last 13 months, I've left ex-BF's extra-extras with him, sold the dehydrator and dishwasher, gave away my food processor, and put my landlord's microwave in his garage. I was 41 years old when I started. My skin is smoother, my face brighter, and my driver's license now lists my birth year as 1973! ;)

Toaster
Stand mixer
Blender
Microwave

These get used almost daily.  Pureed a lovely potato soup with the blender today.  The kids eat a lot of toast and the mixer gets a good workout making bread. I tolerate the microwave since my husband likes it, but it takes up a lot of counter space.

I would really like to buy a food processor.  I had one years ago and made loads of bean spreads and shredded vegetable salads.  Maybe for my birthday, or maybe not.  I seem to be living a fine life without one.

Going low carb changed which appliances I use. Listing electric only:

On the counter, used a lot:
Microwave (used a lot, for thawing and reheating, I cook in bulk)
Kettle
Coffee grinder (this is new, I am buying beans as well as pre-ground, which gives me more choice)

In the cupboards:
toaster (only used when DD visits)
Blender (only used in summer)
Crock pot (only used on weekends when electricity is cheap during the day)
Small food processor
Hand mixer (used less and less since I bake so rarely)

Don't own - electric can opener, electric coffee maker of any sort, a grill, specialty items

Repurposed - battery operated kitchen scale (weighs fiber), second crock pot (dyes wool), second microwave (dyes wool)

For non-electric - all the usual suspects, pots, pans, mixing bowls, Melitta coffee cone and pot, knives, can openers, whisks, and so on.

We have a pretty big kitchen with an excess of storage for just the two of us, so the vast majority of these just sit in a corner cabinet unused...not Mustachian but after trying to make toast on the stove once while our toaster was still in my parents' storage unit, I have learned to appreciate them despite their infrequent usage :D

  • Microwave (built-in above the range type, came with the house.  I think we still have another in parents' storage unit...I should sell it! We use ours regularly though)
  • Toaster (was husband's before we got together)
  • Hand mixer (housewarming gift from in-laws -- so nice to have family that respects actual needs vs. useless gifts)
  • Ninja blender (food processor? idk the difference really) (gift from my parents years ago)
  • Crock Pot (new and fancy with multiple heat options, timer, etc. AND a stirring thingie for soup.  But I got it with a housewarming gift card and a coupon so we paid like 96 cents out of pocket :D  And I use it once a week at least)

For some reason I thought I had a lot more of these types of things that I never used.  We don't drink coffee or tea at all so I guess that cuts down on a bit of stuff.  My little sister was *insisting* that we needed a KitchenAid stand mixer as a house warming gift (on my parents' dime of course, as she still lives at home) and I was able to take my mom aside and explain that no, I do not do enough baking to justify several hundred dollars on countertop clutter just because they just came out with a model in my favorite color...we got a home improvement store gift card instead, score!

The only thing I find myself kind of wanting is a second, smaller Crock Pot.  Ours is 8 qts and for two people that can get a little overwhelming on the leftovers with some meals, especially because my husband isn't a fan of eating the same thing more than 2 days or so in a row.  Unless of course it's take out pizza :(

All of them?

F*&%. Well, I do love to cook and in my spendy days I was rather fond of kitchen "stuff". I think I use my immersion blender the most, and that was a fairly recent (gift) addition. Homemade mayo and soups. And this amazing chipotle sauce we put on everything. Now that we are paleo/primal the toaster, bread maker and rice cooker are pretty useless. Plus I was always a sucker for pretty baking pans. I guess I need to look at downsizing my kitchen.

KitchenAid stand mixer.
Cuisinart food processor.
Hand mixer.
Blender.
Toaster.
Ice cream maker.

Barely use the toaster any more, could probably get rid of it, no big deal. The hand mixer, blender, and cuisinart are not in regular use really, but very nice to have for those rare times. The ice cream maker is well worth it's weight in making dairy-free "ice-cream" for youngest child, but also not in regular use.

Some day I want a dehydrator and possibly a grain mill (still contemplating on that one). Husband wants a popcorn popper, but I like doing it on the stovetop. (He doesn't eat it or make it, just washes the greasy pot, haha).

I guess we also have a triple crockpot in the garage waiting to be sold or given away. It was a gift several years ago and we just never have used it.
