Too many! But we use all of it, and a lot.. it means our collection doesn't fit in our (badly made and designed) kitchen cabinets, but I am designing new cabinets that we will build ourselves! (With much more counter space. We like to cook..)
Now that I listed them out it seems extremely excessive.. but we use each one fairly often, and there isn't much overlap in them...
Standard oven/range - used daily (Electric. I need to do the math to see whether to go gas or electric next- it's old and very rusty... it came with the house)
Microwave - used often: leftovers, butter melting, and cooking things sweet potatoes and squash. I need to do the math, but I think it's more efficient..
Stand mixer- used often. Kitchen-aid, a wedding gift. Great for baking!
Food processor: Used semi-often- it works for baking when the mixer doesn't, and it can be nice for chopping mass quantities. A gift, and a basic but good cusinart model.
Bread machine- $10 from a thrift store, used regularly. It leaks a bit, but I've found putting flour in first prevents most issues.
Toaster oven- Used daily for toast to put eggs on.
Pressure cooker, electric- FREE: used often, mostly for making beans. It really helps since we are in Denver and therefore beans take forever due to altitude! It's also one of our most energy efficient cooking methods.
Electric citrus juicer: This is a luxury, but was a gift. It really does improve citrus juice yield compared to other methods though, so it gets to stay. (Lime juice belongs in so many dishes!)
Ice cream maker: The simple kind that you freeze the bowl first. Used occasionally, was a gift. It stays because the ice cream is delicious, and fun for guests.
Nice blender: Not vitamix level, but a nice one.. (ATK reccomended it- I dont remember the brand)- Smoothies, horchata, sauces, etc... used a lot.
Immersion blender: A gift, great for soups! Used often.
Coffee bean grinder: Used for grinding whole spices. Works great!
Crockpot: A gift, used often.
Hot water kettle w/digital readout and temp selection: Given to me by my parents when I was in college, still useful for making delicate teas that cant get too hot. This is what is used the least.. but it's small.
Dishwasher: Free with house, not hooked into the water supply. Used as a drying rack..... it's trays are fairly rusty though.
Thermometer with long probe. Useful for candy making (for christmas gifts etc!) and for large roasts. Not strictly necessary, but it's super small..
And then we have a bunch of pots and pans and such..
