Hi fellow Mustashians,
I'm going to be attending a conference for lawyers on "Mastering Personal Finances". I'm attending out of interest to see what passes for common knowledge in the finance industry these days and hope to get a few good tips, but I also want to try and spread some wisdom about getting one's spending into line.
Lawyer are, generally, bad with money. Even my half-baked, not all that badass version of Mustachianism kicks the shit out of about 99% of the other people in my profession.
So my question is, how would you to approach spreading the word in such a setting? The people attending are going to be the most likely to benefit from a little MMM wisdom, but I've found it tough to talk people about spending as you can easily come off as criticizing their life choices. Rather than gloat about my savings rate I'd prefer to say something that makes a positive impact on those in attendance. Any suggestions/tactics you have found helpful?
