What is a good leak proof bicycle thermos?
« on: January 18, 2015, 02:39:57 AM »
I was looking around for a good thermos that won't leak (if I put it in my panier bag for example) coffee (or soup, water, etc.)...I found the following three below - although I think all of them had a few reviews where the commenter complained about leakage ... Does anyone have any experience with these and/or could recommend a good bike thermos that won't leak when riding to work?

1) Zojirushi SVGG50AH Tuff Slim
2)  Thermos 16-Ounce Stainless-Steel Backpack Bottle, Silver
3) WaterVault Stainless Steel 25oz Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Sport Thermos Bottle -Silver Blue White

Thank you in advance.

I love the insulated Klean kanteen bottles- the screw top lid is leak proof, and you can switch to the cafe lid if you want to use it as a drinking mug... Several sizes from 12 to 20oz (if I am remembering right)... I have one I've used almost daily for about 6 years and still works perfectly...

I have the 2nd one. I haven't used it when riding to work, but it would fit in my water bottle holder nicely. It doesn't leak.

I bought this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002PY7AYS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1421601116&sr=8-1&dpPl=1&dpID=31%2BVKmIWpjL&ref=plSrch&pi=AC_SY200_QL40

Doesn't leak, lid completely comes apart for cleaning & keeps things hot or cold for a whole work day. When I bought mine my husband was so jealous that he ended up buying one about a month later. Best $40 we've spent though!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
