What internet place is best to sell stuff at for an Australian?
« on: September 19, 2014, 03:27:38 AM »
I have been decluttering my kitchen, and I have a number of pieces of glasswear that I want to sell (I have looked at their prices on the internet, and they appear to be collectors items). Now I have never sold anything on the internet, and where I live is not really a place to sell collectors items. I have given everything else to the op shop, but they would probably not recognise the value, and sell this for 50c a glass or something, when it seems to be worth at least $20 a glass, and is still in its original packaging, with original stickers as it has never been washed.

So should I use gumtree, or e-bay (or maybe even something other than the Australian e-bay)?

I've found gumtree to be pretty good for selling things and with no fees involved as well.
That was for popular electronic items though.

You may  have to wait a bit longer for a response for less popular items.
Also prepare to haggle a little, set the price a bit higher and ppl will haggle down.

Transactions are done in person so restricted to ppl in your city.
