What do you think of this bench?
« on: August 16, 2018, 04:27:25 PM »
Hello,
I want a solution for my patio that is pretty big but I don't want to cover it in furniture.
Here is a picnic table that turns into a bench.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XGX31W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?smid=A2Q8IPVIVBJ5I0&psc=1
What do you think? Do you think I can find something better/ more clever?

This second suggestion from NV looks a bit sturdier.
It is hard to tell from the pics.
But, maybe the reviews can help.

I like the color on this one better.  I'm thinking it may not absorb so much heat in the summer sun.

Lifetime in my experience makes good products.

If you are handy and have access to tools, you can build a much nicer one yourself for a lot less money. The one you posted does not seem very sturdy.

Assuming you want to build one, this one is $53. It requires you buy/cut/stain the 2x4's, but would still probably be less than $100. And you get to stain it whichever color you so desire. I'd probably spray paint the resin as well.

Has excellent reviews and fakespot gives them an A.

PS. check the individual reviews for the pics if interested. Some of them did some pretty interesting stuff.

I'm handy but I don't have a lot of space. If you have any links though I could look at it.

Re: the flip bench, I actually prefer one that that turns into a 4 seater.

I bought a sturdy and cheap bench like that, at a Germen shop Bauhaus.
We painted it, so that it will tolerate more rain weather.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
