Dammit I was all ready to congratulate myself on not spending anything today, then I remembered that I bought a pair of jeans on EBay. Being able to shop via smart phone is just too easy.  At least it was a planned purchase for about half of what the Same pair cost at the store.  Hopefully I can do a no spend tomorrow.

Sunday was super spendy.. So I will post that.
Morning- torx bits for $6 to finish fixing dishwasher.  New door handle for son's bedroom door $20. (Old one broke)
Church donation.  ...
Cookie fundraiser $3

Afternoon:
New shoes and socks for son $150.  Oh my goodness!
Planned spending as he is down to wearing out old winter boots.  We usually get runners from the second hand store, but he is in grade 7 now and wanted fancy shoes and used the money from his paper route.  I bought, he will repay.

I haven't spent $150 on shoes for me on years and years.  It was weird.

I'm glad I'm posting today and not yesterday. Yesterday was um, very non mustachian.

Today I reduced the balance on my bus card by about $5 by catching the bus to and from work. I bought a packet of lollies $3 on the way in to work because I forgot to replenish my handbag stash last night (this is a medical need, not a want). I also bought a packet of sugar free gum, $2.30. Definitely a want, not a need.

Then I bought some hot chips on the way home ($3) because my willpower is not great after an intense tiring day at work. I also spent $8 on strawberries, bananas and (relatively cheap) tomatoes.

I love this thread and this is the first time I've seen it.

Hopefully the only purchase of the day is the trip I just made to get ramen to eat until Monday when I can finally get in for a root canal. :-/ Also got candy corn for the glass pumpkin we just inherited from the inlaws to sit on the dining room table. I've always wanted a pumpkin like this but couldn't justify buying one to sit on the table for 3 weeks out of the year. So both mustachian and not on that one...

Was out of two makeup items that I don't buy very often (maybe once a year -- don't wear makeup regularly, just special occasions and date nights). And lucked into the last day of a "gift with purchase" freebie! A little makeup bag with full sized samples etc! Wahoo!

$3.40 on a capuccino between meetings off-site (normally I drink free instant coffee at my desk). At least it was a nice one and helped me get through to a late lunch.

A tank of gas and a few groceries at Costco. No impulse items, just food from the list. The tank of gas was only $3.259/gallon which is a rockin' price here in NorCal, and the last tank lasted about a month. Sweet.

Breakfast burrito that was big enough to be my breakfast and lunch for $2.99.

About $40 at WinCo for a loaf of bread, 7 cans of beans, 15 cans of olive oil packed tuna, lettuce, green onions and some whipping cream.

Bought new sneakers for kids for Christmas presents.

Bought 2 essential oils for daughters boyfriend for Christmas -- he has a nebulizer for them. They were 20% off if you bought 3, so I bought one for my own nebulizer since I was almost out. Also, had accumulated enough points to get a free roll-on essential oil perfume. Will gift to someone at Christmas.

Nothing!

Yesterday I bought a "new" hair straightener to replace mine that stopped working. $3 at a thrift store.

2 pumpkins
2 Halloween costumes

At the store with costumes
Small son:  I want to be a monster!
Me:  Here is a Sully costume from Monsters.
Small son:  I don't want Sully.  I want Mikey!
Me:  They don't have Mikey.
Small son:  I only want Mikey!  (Tantrum leave store)

Three hours later, after nap.

Me:  I found a Mikey costume on Amazon.  If you want this I'll get it.
Small son:  No, mom.  Sully is my favorite monster.  I want Sully.  (Stated in a way that makes it seem like I am an idiot for suggesting a Mikey costume)

Ugh!
