I plan on taking a course that ends with a motorcycles license this summer.  I might be upgrading soon after that :)
I plan on doing the same, NC is one of the few states that recognizes a $200 course as enough to give you a motorcycle endorsement. Yay

Actually, in many states if you take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) BasicRider course, and pass, the DMV will waive further testing and give you a motorcycle endorsement. IMO this is much better than someone just taking the test at the DMV and being given their endorsement. When you take the MSF course you are actually being taught safe riding skills, not just taking a test.

I paid around $150 in Minnesota. Some states subsidize the cost, but I believe it's generally around $200. Definitely worth it.
