I'm currently paying a 4.5% 30-year mortgage.. after crunching the numbers I realized we'd be far better off paying a 15-yr mortgage which is currently looking like 2.6-2.7% interest. Can anyone dispense some advice or personal anecdotes? Looking to get this done as painlessly as possible..

I've got nothing for personal anecdotes, since I'm 20, but the big mortgage refi thread is over here (https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/investor-alley/just-refi'd-mortgage-for-2-75/msg41103/#msg41103) in the Investor Alley and I learned a good deal just by reading through it. It's less than a page (like 40 posts).
