Title: want to get rid of my refrigerator...
Post by: FuckRx on November 06, 2013, 09:38:00 AM

i'm living in a small apartment by myself. i make oatmeal for bfast and make chili or sautee veggies when i come home. usually gone from early morning til late at night. i have one of those smaller refrigerators and a microwave. but i'm just thinking, i don't really need either one. i only use the microwave to heat up my water and it's plugged in all the time just for that. and as for the fridge there is some ketchup, tomato paste, a few veggies and soymilk in there. i don't even have anything in the tiny little freezer it has.

If you don't actually use it, ditch it.  You can always use an ice chest for short term cold storage. Small fridges are not exactly energy efficient.  Another option is to use it for other storage, unplugged, so you have it when you want or need it.
