Title: VTSMX for non US folk
Post by: smartassusername on March 28, 2018, 01:31:14 PM
I'm not in the US, I'm from Europe, Romania to be precise. I tried signing up for Vanguard and get going on the VTSMX fund, but so far I can't seem to find a way do it. Not from where I am anyway.

It may be that I legitimately can't do it from my country or it could be the fact that I'm not too savvy when it comes to computers or finances in general.

I realize that this is asking a bit much, but literally any pointing in the right direction or any sort of figurative hand holding would be truly appreciated.

I am not sure but check out if you can buy VTI which is essentially an ETF version of VTSMX/VTSAX

I had no idea that existed. Live and learn I guess.

I suppose I'll have to go for that then. Thank you very much.

Sending out a bat signal for Mr and Mrs White @whatlifecouldbe. Their blog (http://whatlifecouldbe.eu) is superb.

Where in Romania are you?
