Vehicle cell-phone booster experience?
« on: June 21, 2019, 02:57:14 PM »
In an effort to make my remote-working arrangement more remote, I have been considering getting a small rv or similar, and one of the things I'd like to know more about is cell-phone boosters. I realize I couldn't expect a signal in the most remote locations, but it seems like there's potential to significantly expand the range of places I could still work (which requires generally having enough speed and stability for a Citrix connection). The threads I found that mention boosters are quite limited.

Ideally, it seems I'd want a (configurable) single-carrier booster to take advantage of higher gain limits (compared to multi-carrier boosters), especially one that had both a mobile and stationary operation (because it seems stationary operation is permitted to use higher gain). Does anyone here have experience with similar setups, or know if there's one out there that fits my wish list? Any thoughts on how to handle 5G (e.g., will current boosters be junk in two years)?

Thanks.
