Vanguard Mutual Fund fees question
« on: October 19, 2014, 05:19:45 AM »
I opened a mutual fund with Vanguard on Friday. I am hoping to make frequent deposits of as little as $100 as money comes in from a side gig that I have. Question is: Is there a transaction fee per each transfer? Obviously this will determine whether I wait to put in a larger amount on a monthly basis. I think putting in money as it becomes available as frequently as every week will help keep me motivated, but I want to avoid any fees if there are any.

I know I can call Vanguard tomorrow, but I am an impatient person!

There are no commissions to buy Vanguard funds through Vanguard.

Some of the funds do have a minimum starting balance though, I wanna say usually around $3k.  And I also think some funds have a yearly fee if your investments are less than $10k.

Thanks for the responses, good news. The fund I entered had a $10,000 minimum start - which I met. The plan now is to roll in as much as I can of my side gig income.
