Hi everyone,
So my phone contract is about to expire, and I will not be renewing it for various reasons. Instead, I am considering using my employer-provided cell phone for personal use. I spoke with my manager and he said the company is comfortable with employees using the phones for personal use, provided they don't go over the plan limits (not an issue for me). Has anyone else here done this before? I'd love to hear some experiences! My primary concern is that I would like to avoid receiving personal messages while at work (I work a shift position, so no issues with receiving undesired work communications while I am at home). I don't use my personal phone for calling, only texting, so it seems like there may be an app I could use to separate my personal texts from my work-related ones. A quick search showed a few options, like TextFree and Hushed; has anyone used these before? Let me know what you guys think!
(I wish I could add a poll here but I'm not sure how. Maybe a mod could help me out? something like 1.) I keep work phone and personal phone seperate. 2.) I use one phone for both 3.) I don't have a business phone 4.) I don't have a personal phone or something?)
Cheers!
Griffin
