Title: UK broadband - any top tips for sniffing out cheap deals?
Post by: shelivesthedream on May 31, 2017, 12:18:55 PM
I'm moving to a new house and for the first time ever will have to arrange my own internet. Flippin' 'eck! £20-£30 a month! I've got plenty of choice for providers in my area, but I'm not sure how to start navigating the options.

All I want is internet (not a landline!) for general web browsing and occasional downloading (rather than streaming) of films, music and games. What speed do I need? How can I find out costs for just internet? Can I haggle if I'm a new customer? How??

That is very probably as good as it is going to get unfortunately. If you are on adsl you need a landline and the cable internet options if you have them are no cheaper (I haggle constantly with Virgin cable as they constantly try to hike the price, but it is a better deal with a bundled phone line even if never used).
