Uber worth it in university area?
« on: September 15, 2016, 01:44:39 PM »
I live very close to a university town and I was wondering if anyone had experience with driving for Uber on the weekends in this type of location. On weekends the surge rates are usually pretty high and from what I can tell the area isn't saturated with drivers. So is it worth the time and effort for a side hustle?

Thanks.

From a close friend who drives for Uber as his "MAIN-GIG" (and maintains a 4-star rating):

"If you have the patience for traffic, drunk people, crazy frat guys/girls, and keep plastic bags in your car in case of vomit, then... Yes, it's worth it."

Cool, thanks. It's a rural area which helps. But still all of the other things luckily I'm used to lol
