It depends.  If it's part of the normal working parent day, I'm up around 7.  When I'm off hiking or paddling... with sunrise.

When I was working I would get up at 5am and do some sewing before work - no matter what the day brought I had achieved something, so I had something that worked out well, and that no-one had yelled at me about.

Now, I get up at whatever time I please! Usually about 6am (+/- half hour), but I can stay in bed all day reading if I want to.

I am retired! (I love saying that to myself when I contemplate getting up).

I'm up at 5:30am.  I work from home so I usually start my day by 6am, done by 2 or 3 in the afternoon.  It's a nice gig.
