Tax Free Municipal Bond Recommendations

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some tax free municipal bond recommendations. Intention is for someone in a high tax bracket to get a bigger return than your average interest from a typical checking or savings account (plus that interest is taxed anyway) without tipping over into a higher income tax bracket.  Ooor, any other ideas for someone who can no longer take advantage of tax free accounts such as IRA/401k or HSA (due to RMD's/not working or being employed anymore).

Asking for my MIL, who is already retired and at the age where RMD's are, well, required.
