Take new job?

Hi Mustachians - little life dilemma happening so thought I'd ask for the wisdom of internet strangers. I currently have a job offer on the table and am struggling to decide whether to take it. Deets: happy at my current gig, good culture, good people, ok work (client-dependent), ok pay. Been here a few years. New gig: bigger company, possibly more challenging role, likely more corporate-y culture, similar commute (minimal), about $35k higher salary, possibly more growth options and will look good on CV.

Seems like a no-brainer but I guess I really like the team where I'm at now and am worried about general job satisfaction if I switch, and also about impacting relationships with my current co-workers as these are people I genuinely like and hang with on weekends also.

Thoughts?

Hell no. You're happy at your current gig, and the offer is only for $35k more. Is risking your happiness really worth $35k?

Hell yes. You will be happy pretty much anywhere, because true happiness comes from within. Might as well rake in more money while you're at it.

Maybe. Go to your current boss, slap down your number and say this is my latest value on the market... if you can't afford the fair value of my services, I will need to direct my energies elsewhere.

If you're happy where you are at what prompted you to apply for this job?  There must have been some reason you were open to considering it. 

Do you need the additional income?  How would it impact your goals?   Another factor to consider is how much the increase is relative to your salary.  10%?  50%?  That makes a big difference in decided if the money is "worth it".

Didn't apply, was recruited. Would be about 155% of my current pay.
