Question
I want more risk I'm thinking of keeping my 401k the same but switching my IRA from the target fund to (VTSMX) 75% and 25% of (VGTSX) or just 100% in VTSMX

If I open a taxable account is it ok to have VTSMX in both the roth ira and taxable account?

It's best to have an asset allocation for your entire portfolio. Figure out the overall percentage you want and the. Get there using the lowest expense ratios possible amongst your accounts.
