Short term schooling?

I'm looking for 1-1.5 year schooling in the healthcare field where I can pretty much get a job guaranteed when I'm done. Does anyone have suggestions? 2 of which I have found are medical coding which I think I would be good at but it's a female dominated field, and surgical technologist.

I am located in Tampa, FL and thank you for any suggestions.

2 year degrees such as X-ray technician, respiratory therapy aide. occupational therapy aide, physical therapy aide, etc.

I'm assuming you don't have a 2 or 4 yr degree and want more of a skilled trade?

Yes to all the jobs listed above, also look up sterile processing. For medical coding, does it bother you if your colleagues would be women?

Phlebotomist is a short term program.

Ultrasound technician, dental hygienist

Respiratory Tech and Surgical Tech are good. 

Medical Assistand and Emergency Medical Technician can sometime be train on the job programs - if you look for them in places that either have high cost of living (big cities) or very remote (some AK hospitals will train EMTs on the job).

Find out what programs are cheap and available to you at your local community college.  That will make all the financial difference, instead of paying 75k for a 15month certificat at Pima Medical.

Rad tech is an enormously competitive field.  Very good jobs.
