Identify OEM of Store Brand Microwave OR Playing with Radiation!

Hi Folks,

Do any of you know how to identify the original equipment manufacturer of store brand appliances?

In this case, my Beaumark Over The Range microwave has begun running when I close the door. I have read that this is caused by a failed interlock, and I would love to fix it. However, I cannot find any parts lists for any appliances under this brand, and I cannot seem to find the OEM.

If you take the outer housing off you should be able to see the OEm name somewhere there.  You need not worrie about the radiation, it diapated very quickly after you shut off the microwave.  Do be careful for the large run capacitor however, they can store mass emounts of power for a long period of time and hurt alot if you have it discharge on you.

ODM is the more precise term, I think. Yeah, if you take it apart, there should be a part number on whatever part you're tinkering with. Radiation is not a concern if it's off. Unless you know your shit, wear rubber gloves to avoid shock.

So, the ODM is Midea, a Chinese device manufacturer. I cant find anywhere I can order parts for their microwaves, so I guess it is a new brand name over the range microwave for me.
