Seeking Advice: Bike Rack for Car

Hi there--

I went to my local bike store, and they had one car rack. $139.99. I went home and did some online shopping and found prices higher and lower than that.

Whoever makes bike racks is making loads of money since all it involves is a bit of metal and some straps. Wow!

Anyway--Can you advise me on some cheap bike racks for a sedan?

Have you thought of making your own? They look fairly simple and are quite inexpensive to make.

Try Craigslist. Ours is full of bike racks for way less than the store.

On Facebook you can join "swap groups"  you ask to join, they accept you, and then you can post ISO (in search of) and people might have one.. You can ask them to post a picture or a link to the model they have so you can research it before you try to hookup.  Just a suggestion.
