Samsung S22 DeX plus monitor/keyboard as rural internet?
« on: October 04, 2022, 03:43:02 AM »
Partner and I have new Samsung s22s. Can we use the DeX function to ditch our expensive satellite rural internet?

If it matters, we have Verizon Do More phone plans, Verizon wifi is not available in our area, and the expensive satellite is the only reliable wifi. We are teachers, so lots of downloads of files, LMS based grading, Zoom, and email, but no gaming or streaming.

Do you have reliable cell service at your home? Does your phone always say "4G" "4G LTE" or "5G" with many bars?

If you do have good cell service, then you can use a dedicated hotspot, or one of your phones as a hotspot to provide an internet connection to whatever devices you want.
